Privacy policy of the Association of Estonian Broadcasters (AEB)

This privacy and cookies policy explains how we use the personal data we collect from you or that you submit to us. Make sure to read this privacy policy carefully in order to understand our policies, how we process your personal data and how we may use them. This privacy policy is subject to change. Any changes and additions are available at the end of this document with the date of the amendment. Therefore, we ask you to read this privacy policy again from time to time.

We only use your personal data for the purposes of their collection and do not later process the data in a way that is not compatible with these purposes. Your data are processed in accordance with the laws of the Republic of Estonia and the European Union.

We may use processors to process your personal data. In such a case, we only use processors who guarantee the implementation of the appropriate technical and organisational measures so that the processing complies with the requirements set out in legislation regarding personal data and that the rights of data subjects are protected.



Data we may collect

Data that can identify you, such as your first name and surname.

Contact details, such as your e-mail address, phone number and postal address. If you contact us, we may also register the address of correspondence.


Data on preferences and tracking data, such as data about you when you visit our website, including your IP address, data stream, location data and other communication data. We also collect data on your use of our website through cookies and similar technology.



Profiling is any form of automated processing of personal data consisting of the use of personal data to evaluate certain personal aspects relating to a natural person, in particular to analyse or predict aspects concerning that natural person’s performance at work, economic situation, health, personal preferences, interests, reliability, behaviour, location or movements.

Based on our legitimate interests, performance of a contract or pre-contractual measures, or when you have given your consent, we may use profiling for marketing purposes as well as to personalise your experience when using our services.

Location and duration of storage of your personal data

All data you submit to us are stored on our secure servers. 

Transmission of data over the Internet is not yet completely secure. Although we do our best to protect you, we cannot guarantee the security of data during transmission and we do not accept liability in the event of unauthorised access. Any transmission of data on our website is at your risk. Once we have received your data, we apply strict methods and security measures to prevent unauthorised access.

In some cases, our website may contain references and links to websites of other companies, our partners and advertisers. Rights of the data subject

You have the following rights to your personal data:

  • the right of access. You have the right to know whether your personal data are being processed by us. If they are, you have the right to access the personal data and information set out in legislation
  • the right of rectification
  • the right to erasure. For example, if the data are no longer necessary or if your personal data are processed with your consent, but you have withdrawn your consent and we do not have any other legal bases to process your data
  • the right to restrict the processing of your personal data on the basis of applicable law. For example while we assess whether you have the right to have your data erased
  • the right to receive your personal data, which you have provided us and which we process automatically with your consent or based on a contract, in a structured, commonly used and machine-readable format and to transmit these data to another controller
  • the right to object to data processing based on legitimate interests, including profiling, unless we demonstrate compelling legitimate grounds for the processing which override your interests, rights and freedoms or for the establishment, exercise or defence of legal claims
    the right to object at any time to the processing of your personal data for such marketing, which includes profiling to the extent that it is related to such direct marketing
  • the right to withdraw your consent at any time without it affecting the legitimacy of prior processing
  • the right not to be subject to a decision based solely on automated processing, including profiling, and which produces legal effects concerning you or affects you significantly

IP addresses

If such data are available, we may collect data on your computer, such as your IP address, operating system and browser type, as well as your connection speed and internet service provider. These data are used by our system administrator and utilised to prepare reports for our advertisers. These are statistical data on our users’ activities and patterns on the Internet, which does now allow us to identify individual persons.

Amendments to the privacy policy

All amendments to our privacy policy will be published on this website (see above). If necessary, you will also be notified of the amendments by e-mail as per our general terms and conditions. All amendments enter into force immediately, except for previous clients (e.g. clients who have placed advertising), for whom amendments enter into force 30 days after they are announced, unless stated otherwise.
